Review by hotel critic
As an archaeologist with a deep appreciation for culture, my recent stay at Pension Boutique Caravan Cinema in Old Town Bilbao was truly a delightful experience. Nestled in a vibrant area, just a stone's throw from Plaza Nueva and its legendary pintxo bars, this quirky guesthouse adds charm to city exploration. Our Marvelous Steven Spielberg apartment, teeming with film-themed decor, was a lovely retreat after long days of discovering the city's rich history. The shared lounge featuring a Nespresso machine served as the perfect spot for us to unwind and share stories of our day's adventures. While the charming decor may be retro and eclectic, it undoubtedly provided a cozy atmosphere that felt thoughtfully curated, creating a unique space for my travel companions and me to relax. Although there were occasional noises from neighboring apartments, they faded into the background as we indulged in the bustling charm of Bilbao’s Old Quarter. For those looking for an unconventional and personable stay, where you can immerse yourself in local culture, I highly recommend this cozy gem.
